Most of our educators and main stage artists got their positions in our company by just showing up at our events, over and over again, until we couldn’t ignore them.  Some of them started out as models at a hair show, others by just offering to assist backstage, others just show up at one of our epic parties or events like our annual Danger Fest, and others by making meaningful contributions in our Facebook Group.  In each of these cases, they didn’t just show up, they came to impress, and found ways to make our community stronger.

When we’re looking for a stylist for a big opportunity in a certain geographic area, naturally we first think of the stylists who have put in the effort, who have impressed us with their skills, who have demonstrated that they share our values, and who have personalities that fit our team.  And this makes sense right?

What kind of artists do we work with? Here are a few key attributes: optimistic, professional, punctual, grateful, confident, and coachable. Our educators are exceptional communicators, passionate about the Danger Jones brand and our products, and are cool to everyone, regardless of their skill level or social media following. Finally, diversity is very important to us. We are an equal opportunity brand.

The Danger Jones Crew is an invite-only program we created to reward the loyal artists who have contributed the most to our brand, by either doing extraordinary things to make our brand more successful or going the extra mile to add value to our community. Because of their efforts, we reward them with various perks, just like you would get in an airline’s loyalty rewards program.

Many of the companies in our industry don’t give back to the artists that help make them successful. This is not the case with Danger Jones. These artists have made it clear, with their words and actions, that they have our back, so we feel it’s important that we make it abundantly clear to them that we have their backs.

This program should not be confused with what other companies have created. The Danger Jones Crew is totally unique.  It’s not a social media influencer program, nor a “cool kids” club.  One of the things that makes Danger Jones unique is that all of the members of the Danger Jones community are on a level playing field, and we’d like to keep it that way.

Members of the Danger Jones Crew are badass humans with badass skills, that have contributed significantly to our success.  They also have shown the rare quality of being all about welcoming new artists into our community and uplifting them.  Overtime, they’ve become part of the reason why our community is so unique, and as leaders they help keep it this way.

From time to time, we’ll be inviting other artists into The Danger Jones Crew.  Who will they be?  We give a lot of opportunities to artists, and there’s a few along the way that show up and knock it out of the park, over and over again… they’ll be invited into The Crew.

There are also artists who don’t wait for us to give them opportunities, but instead they make big contributions on their own, by consistently posting great work on social media and shouting out Danger Jones; or by showing up to a lot of our events and finding ways to help and also make a positive impact on our community; or by sharing their knowledge and passion for Danger Jones in Facebook groups or as educators.  The Danger Jones Crew is for those artists who make the most significant contributions.
